Choosing between an upright vacuum cleaner and a cannister vacuum cleaner

Choosing between an upright bagless vacuum cleaner and a canister bagless vacuum cleaner should be no tuff task. It really comes down to you, the consumer and how you will be using the vacuum cleaner in your home or business.

Both styles of bagless vacuum cleaners have been around for many years, and both have pros and cons to using one over the other.

Most people view an upright vacuum cleaner as a traditional vaccum cleaner. Simply put, an upright vacuum cleaner is a vacuum cleaner that stands upright, and you walk behind it holding onto its handle. It will usually have 3-4 wheels allowing you to manuver it easily with only one hand.

A cannister vacuum cleaner is usually small and compact. They are usually cylinder shaped, and sit low to the ground. The cannister itself does not do the cleaning. On a cannister bagless vacuum cleaner it will have a hose comming off of it that will have a multitude of attachments that can be used in different situations to clean different surfaces. If you own a home with stairs, or hard to reach places, a cannister bagless vacuum cleaner is probably the right choice for you. A cannister vacuum is great for cleaning walls, curtains, and ceiling fans.

These are just the basic differences between a cannister vacuum cleaner and an upright. As stated before, you the consumer will have to choose which vacuum cleaner will work best for your situation.
